Details
Corolla Wild Horse Tours focuses on family. With our 15 passenger, open-air, safari-style truck, you will feel fresh ocean breezes and soak in the salt sea air while experiencing the wonders of nature. Our wild horse tours are safe for any age and kids in car or booster seats are always welcome. Our expert tour narration will focus on the history of Corolla, the wild horses, and the North Carolina Beaches.
The tours take two hours and will cover 25 miles of off-road cruising. We will take you behind the dunes into the neighborhoods where the horses graze. The horses have 7,500 acres to roam and are in small harems that will have 3-6 horses per grouping. Generally, we see the horses out grazing or cooling off by the water. Currently, we have around a hundred horses roaming Carova Beach.

Enclosed SUV Horse Tour
Details
View the Nor'Banks from the comfort of our SUV. This tour is for a more personal experience! We only take 6 people out. For that reason we limit the ages to 10 and up. All tours are conducted in our enclosed SUV's. Tours are only offered in the, "off" season when temps and weather can be an issue.

Highlights
This is tour that put us on the map. Bob's Tours started out at the Inn at Corolla Light taking hotel guests out in our Suburban. That was way back in 1997. We decided it was time to go back to our roots and offer the tours again. Our guides live here and many are from the area or have been around a long time! This is very informative tour and will be much more personal than our summer time open air large vehicle tours. Book today and see the Northern OBX with us!

Check-in details
We ask that you arrive 15 to 20 minutes early for your tour. Your guide will check you in before we load up and whisk you away.
Restrictions
You will need to be able to load into the SUV. This tour may not be suitable for those guests with mobility issues. Please bear in mind you may be asked to sit in the back row, if you have motion sickness issues, you may want to consider that before booking. If your in the 3rd trimester you may want to wait this one out. This is an offroad tour, and although not as bumpy as our summer tours, it can be rough going in some spots.
Health & Safety
If you have health concerns please call us to discuss. This is an enclosed vehicle and you will be in close proximity to other patrons. If this is a concern for you, we do offer a private tour, however, you must book the entire vehicle to have it to yourself. Simply book all 6 seats and you will get a private tour!
